mi2-factory develops and produces patented technologies for energy filters for ion implantation. In 2016, the company pitches its innovation on the Investor Days Thuringia pitch stage and shows how it is revolutionizing the production of high-performance microchips. The technology can be found in electromobility, renewable energies, industrial drives and in 15 granted patents around the world.
SmartDyeLivery develops customized nanocarriers that transport highly effective substances in the body in a targeted manner. Active substances are to be delivered quickly and efficiently to specific cells or organs and only released there in a controlled manner in order to act locally and reduce systemic side effects.
The start-up pitched this technology at the first Investor Days Thuringia 2016. Today, it is conducting the first study on humans.
FreeMOM is a full-service recruiting platform for family-friendly and freelance work. Its tech platform gives companies access to untapped potential for skilled workers: mothers, fathers and family caregivers. They in turn benefit from more flexibility in the world of work.
FreeMOM pitches at the Investor Days Thuringia in 2023 and wins the audience award. They receive their first major investment directly afterwards from Tijen Onaran.
With rooom, the future can be experienced: the platform brings impressive 3D, AR and VR experiences directly into the browser – shareable worldwide. Whether it’s a showroom, product demo or virtual event, companies can use it to create immersive experiences that revolutionize sales, marketing, education and events. Everything is created, managed and played out centrally. The company won both the Pitch Award and the Public Award at the Investor Days Thuringia 2018.
IDloop has developed the world’s first 3D scanner that captures fingerprints without contact. Contactless, with microscopic resolution and in a fraction of a second, a fingerprint is scanned and can be compared with existing databases. IDloop wins a pitch award in 2022 and becomes the first Thuringian company ever to receive funding from the European Union’s EIC Accelerator.
Enginsight develops an all-in-one security platform for the automated monitoring and protection of complex IT infrastructures. In 2017, the company pitches its innovation at the Investor Days Thuringia. Together with ASOFTNET GmbH, Enginsight opens Europe’s first AI defence center in Erfurt to not only detect cyberattacks, but to prevent them in advance. This marks the beginning of a new IT security era.
plasmotion has invented the innovative JETPEP technology, which makes metal finishing more efficient and sustainable thanks to its plasma polishing solution. plasmotion presents this new process at the Investor Days Thuringia 2023 and immediately wins a pitch award. This is followed by an award as one of the 10 most innovative tech start-ups in Germany.
FluIDect uses light-emitting micro micro-particles to remove contamination or to detect protein concentrations in liquids quickly and precisely. The company is thus revolutionizing food processing, water management and fermentation. The pitch at the Investor Days Thuringia 2022 was followed by further awards and funding of 2.5 million euros from the European Union’s EIC Accelerator.
DeepEn has developed an endoscope that can quickly send high-resolution images from sensitive areas of the body. The technology is ten times smaller than other endoscopes. This innovation promises completely new insights, especially for neuronal research. DeepEn is one of the winners of the Investor Days Thuringia in 2024. This was followed by the Thuringia Innovation Award and other pitch prizes.
Polytives develops and distributes innovative processing aids for the plastics industry. They improve processes in injection molding, extrusion, 3D printing and other technologies – including for bioplastics and recycled plastics. This opens up new possibilities for applications, industries and materials. In 2019, the young company showcased the versatility of its products at Investor Days Thuringia and secured its first financing.
The Investor Days Thuringia bring startups and the innovation community together in Erfurt. The event offers a broad spectrum of future technologies and innovative business models, an early and later phase pitch stage as well as numerous networking opportunities with over 500 regional, national and international stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem, startups, growth companies, VCs, SMEs and industry.
The event provides plenty of space for discussions, experience sharing, inspiration and networking and offers the ideal conditions for promising matches and the best deal flow.
From now until April 27, startups and growth companies can apply for a slot on the pitch stage. Upon acceptance, the founders will receive pitch training, a booth in the Innovation Arena and free access to the event. Selected growth companies will receive individual pitch training and will be allowed to present themselves exclusively in the Erfurt Gartenbau Museum and receive free access to the all-day event. Participating investors will receive exclusive information in the form of clear one-pagers about the presenting companies. VC investors, business angels, SMEs, networkers and innovators can secure their tickets at the Early Bird price until April 4, 2025.
